M1 Garands

Is there anyone in town who can re-parkarize an M1? I bought mine a while back knowing that it may need to be refinished, but it is a great shooter. I can nail the gongs easily at the end of the city range with open sights. Any thoughts would be great!

Your best bet would be calling the shops around town and asking.

If you have the time, you could try and DuraCoat it yourself. Kits are fairly cheap. You could also strip and electroplate it with nickel if you wanted to as well.

Try Jon Farner over at Eagle Gunsmithing. He has a shop down in Corrales and does Fantastic work. He does Parkerizing as well as duracoat, and plating. His Number is 505-463-5793. Great Weapon by the way. good luck

Thanks for the info! I'd like to have the stock/handgaurds refinished also so it looks somewhat new...
