Any ATVers Out There?

Postby Dozer » Wed Mar 10, 2010 8:04 pm

I have a four wheel ATV that I've had for several years. When I first got it, I rode it a lot, but then it became more of the kids way to explore the forest. About 3 or 4 years ago, I blew out my knee on a dirt bike. I was off my feet for almost 4 months. After that, the ATV was my easiest way to get around in the woods. The kids are moved out and only use it if they come camping with us. I have since recovered to about 95% of full use, but it will start hurting if I push it. When we go camping, I look forward to exploring with my wife to places that I would never get to without the ATV. :) I try to keep it in good running condition and it always goes camping with us.

We had a few when I was little, ATV's and dirtbikes. They were my first love of "going fast". I'd love to do ATV camping at some point that just sounds AWESOME. Sucks about the knee... I destroyed mine (right knee) in college... Took a nasty fall bouldering and missed the mat, I think Kodama still has a video of that somewhere.

I went out with a few people in January. We had 2 side by sides and a dirtbike. Took a trail around the Cochati area. It was fun except for the fact I got covered in mud.
